Abstract
A space division multiple access (SDMA) method is provided. The method may be performed by a station (STA), in a wireless local area network (WLAN) system. The method includes overhearing a third transmission response message transmitted by an access point (AP), and determining whether to access a channel on the basis of criteria information included in the third transmission response message.
Claims6
A method for performing channel access in a wireless local area network, the method comprising:
- transmitting, by an initiating station, a request message for requesting a channel access to an access point, the request message including information about an access category indicating a quality of service for an uplink traffic that the initiating station wants to send;
- and
- receiving, by the initiating station, a response message as a response to the request message from the access point, the response message including information about the access category in the request message.
A device for use in a wireless local area network, the device comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory operatively coupled with the processor and storing instructions that when executed by the processor causes to the device to:
- transmit a request message for requesting a channel access to an access point, the request message including information about an access category indicating a quality of service for an uplink traffic that the device wants to send;
- receive a response message as a response to the request message from the access point, the response message including information about the access category in the request message.
