Abstract
The present invention relates to a method of controlling data transmission for a multimedia/broadcast service (MBS) in a broadband wireless access system. In a data transmission control method for a multicast broadcast service (MBS) in a broadband wireless access system, the present invention includes the steps of receiving information for a downlink burst profile suitable for receiving MBS data from at least one mobile subscriber station, selecting a downlink burst profile suitable for transmitting the MBS data using the information for the downlink burst profile, and transmitting the MBS data to the at least one mobile subscriber station using the selected downlink burst profile.

A method of providing a point-to-multipoint service to at least one terminal in a communications system, the method comprising:
- determining one profile among a plurality of profiles for the point-to-multipoint service;
- transmitting, to the at least one terminal, control information of the point-to-multipoint service, the control information associated with the determined profile;
- and
- transmitting, to the at least one terminal, data of the point-to-multipoint service,
- wherein the control information comprises indication of the existence of the data of the point-to-multipoint service.
An apparatus of providing a point-to-multipoint service to at least one terminal in a communications system, the apparatus comprising:
- a determining unit for determining one profile among a plurality of profiles for the point-to-multipoint service;
- a transmission unit for transmitting, to the at least one terminal, control information of the point-to-multipoint service, the control information associated with the determined profile and transmitting, to the at least one terminal, data of the point-to-multipoint service,
- wherein the control information comprises indication of the existence of the data of the point-to-multipoint service.
A method of receiving a point-to-multipoint service in a communications system, the method comprising:
- receiving control information of the point-to-multipoint service, the control information associated with a profile, wherein the profile is determined among a plurality of profiles for the point-to-multipoint service;
- and
- receiving data of the point-to-multipoint service,
- wherein the control information comprises indication of the existence of the data of the point-to-multipoint service.
An apparatus of receiving a point-to-multipoint service in a communications system, the apparatus configured to receive control information of the point-to-multipoint service, the control information associated with the determined profile, wherein the profile is determined among a plurality of profiles for the point-to-multipoint service and to receive data of the point-to-multipoint service, wherein the control information comprises indication of the existence of the data of the point-to-multipoint service.
