Predictive schedule-based tracking of incoming print jobs

A method comprising:

• accessing a memory of a presentation system, wherein the memory identifies categories of print jobs and stores rules that indicate how often print jobs will be received at the presentation system;
• identifying a rule for a category of print jobs;
• analyzing the rule with a processor of the presentation system to generate a predicted schedule of print jobs expected for receipt at the presentation system;
• determining with the processor whether expected print jobs have been received at the presentation system in accordance with the schedule;
• and
• generating an alert if an expected print job has not been received at the presentation system.

A non-transitory computer readable medium embodying programmed instructions which, when executed by a processor, are operable for performing a method comprising:

• accessing a memory of a presentation system, wherein the memory identifies categories of print jobs and stores rules that indicate how often print jobs will be received at the presentation system;
• identifying a rule for a category of print jobs;
• analyzing the rule with a processor of the presentation system to generate a predicted schedule of print jobs expected for receipt at the presentation system;
• determining with the processor whether expected print jobs have been received at the presentation system in accordance with the schedule;
• and
• generating an alert if an expected print job has not been received at the presentation system.
