A handheld tool battery device includes: a communication unit; at least one cell unit for storing energy; and at least one induction charging unit for charging and/or discharging the at least one cell unit. The communication unit transmits design-specific parameters to a charging device during a charging process.

- a communication unit;
- at least one cell unit for storing energy;
- and
- at least one induction charging unit configured to provide at least one of charging and discharging of the at least one cell unit;
- wherein the communication unit transmits design-specific parameters to an external charging device during a charging process.
