Abstract
A dummy hard disk drive (HDD) is used to replace a true HDD during testing of a device in which the true HDD will be installed. The dummy HDD includes a box the same size and shape as the true HDD, a cover, and filling material selectively placed in the box. The cover is fixed to the top of the box to cover the box. When the cover is not fixed on the box, the filling material can be placed in or taken out of the box.
Claims6
A dummy hard disk drive (HDD), comprising:
- a box same as a true HDD in shape and size, and defining at least one filling compartment;
- filling material filled in the at least one filling compartment;
- at least one cover fixed to the top of the box to cover the at least one filling compartment, wherein the filling material is removable from the at least one filling compartment when the at least one filling compartment is not covered.
