A busbar for use in a busbar assembly, the busbar comprising:
- an elongate body portion structured to be generally disposed about, an in contact with an elongate inner component, the body portion being formed from a conductive material.
A method forming a busbar assembly, the method comprising:
- forming an elongate outer component having a central cavity disposed about a longitudinal axis, the outer component being formed from a first electrically conductive material;
- inserting an elongate inner component into the cavity of the outer component, the inner component being formed from a second electrically conductive material different from the first material and adapted to engage a plurality of stab members of a plurality of plug-in units generally at any point along the entire length thereof.
