Abstract
A fixing assembly for use on an object which is to be attached to or detachable from another object includes a main body defining a through hole, a fixing member mounted to the through hole, and two limiting members secured to the main body and arranged at opposite sides of the through hole. When the fixing member is mounted to the through hole, the limiting members limit and hold captive the fixing member to prevent from falling off or displacement of the fixing member when not being used for attachment purposes. A heat sink using the fixing assembly is also provided.
Claims14
A fixing assembly, comprising:
- a main body defining a through hole;
- a fixing member mounted to the through hole;
- and
- two limiting members secured to the main body and arranged at opposite sides of the through hole;
- wherein when the fixing member is mounted to the through hole, the limiting members limit and hold captive the fixing member to prevent the fixing member from falling off.
A heat sink, comprising:
- a heat-dissipating module;
- and
- a fixing assembly for fixing the heat-dissipating module, the fixing assembly comprising:
- a main body fixed to the heat-dissipating module and defining a through hole;
- a fixing member mounted to the through hole;
- and
- two limiting members secured to the main body and arranged at opposite sides of the through hole;
- wherein when the fixing member is mounted to the through hole, the limiting members limit and hold captive the fixing member to prevent the fixing member from falling off.
