Methods and systems for detecting a gun and/or bullet within one's vicinity via an electronic device

A method of detecting a loaded gun via at least one electronic device handled by at least one user, the method comprising:

• inserting a projectile into a magazine of a gun, the projectile including a casing, a propellant, and a primer configured to ignite the propellant;
• incorporating an electronic beacon within the casing of the projectile;
• emitting, via the electronic beacon, at least one signal received by the at least one electronic device when the at least one user handling the at least one electronic device is within a pre-established vicinity of the projectile;
• and
• triggering a loaded gun warning to the at least one user handling the at least one electronic device when a positional relationship has been established between the electronic beacon of the projectile and the at least one user of the at least one electronic device.

A gun detecting system, comprising:

• a gun;
• a mobile device handled by a user;
• and
• a bullet including at least one electronic beacon incorporated therein for emitting at least one signal received by the mobile device when the user handling the mobile device is within a predetermined range of the bullet;
• wherein the mobile device triggers a loaded gun warning to the user handling the mobile device when a positional relationship has been established between the electronic beacon of the bullet and the user of the mobile device.
