Abstract
The present disclosure is directed to wet wipes including a fibrous substrate, a cationic binder composition, and a wetting composition. The wetting composition includes at least one polyprotic acid having three or more functional groups and benzoic acid.
Claims20
A wet wipe comprising:
- a fibrous material having a strength of at least 300 g/in and a dispersibility of no more than 100 g/in;
- an ion-triggerable cationic binder composition;
- and
- a wetting composition comprising:
- at least one polyprotic acid having three or more functional groups and benzoic acid, wherein the ratio of the benzoic acid to the at least one polyprotic acid is greater than 2.5.

A wet wipe comprising:
- a fibrous material having a strength of at least 300 g/in and a dispersibility of no more than 100 g/in;
- an ion-triggerable cationic binder composition;
- and
- a wetting composition comprising:
- at least one polyprotic acid having three or more functional groups and benzoic acid, wherein the pH of the wetting composition after expression from the wet wipe is from about 4.5 to about 6.0.
