Abstract
A drive carrier includes a first computing device with light source control capacity and a light source proximate to a front plate of the drive carrier. The first computing device receives a signal from a second computing device (external to the drive carrier) and controls the light source proximate to the front plate of the drive carrier based on the signal.
Claims15
A drive carrier comprising;
- a first computing device with light source control capability;
- and
- a light source proximate to a front plate of the drive carrier,
- wherein the first computing device is to receive a signal from a second computing device and control the light source proximate to the front plate of the drive carrier based on the signal;
- and
- wherein the second computing device Is external to the drive carrier.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium having computer-executable instructions stored thereon that when executed cause a first computing device of a drive carrier to:
- receive a signal from a second computing device external to the drive carrier;
- and
- control a light, source proximate to a front plate of me drive carrier based on the signal.
- wherein the first computing device and light source are disposed on a printed circuit board affixed to the drive carrier.
A method comprising;
- receiving a signal at a computing device disposed on a printed circuit board affixed to a drive carder:
- and
- controlling a light source disposed on the drive carrier based on the signal,
- wherein the signal is received from second computing device;
- and
- wherein controlling the light source includes controlling the light source to illuminate an airflow area.
