## Abstract

A computing system may perform a method comprising displaying, on a graphical user interface (GUI) on a display of the computing system, a plurality of initial animations to a user, each of the plurality of animations being displayed in response to an identical function call, having an identical visual appearance, and being displayed to prompt an input from the user. The method may also comprise monitoring, by a processor of the computing system, the user's input to each of the plurality of animations. The method may also comprise displaying, by the GUI, a subsequent animation to the user, the subsequent animation being displayed in response to the identical function call but having a different visual appearance than the plurality of initial animations, the different visual appearance of the subsequent animation being based on the monitored inputs.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions stored thereon that, when executed by at least one processor, are configured to cause a computing system to at least:
display an initial animation to a user, the initial animation continuously moving from an original position on the display to a final position on the display and being displayed to prompt an input from the user;
monitor the user's interaction with the initial animation while the initial animation is changing; and
display a subsequent animation to the user, the subsequent animation continuously changing from the original position on the display to the final position on the display faster than the initial animation, the faster continuous change from the original position on the display to the final position on the display of the subsequent animation being based on the monitored interaction with the initial animation including the user moving a cursor to the final position on the display.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1, wherein the monitoring the user's interaction includes determining that the user is anticipating the movement of the animation from the original position to the final position.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1, wherein the monitoring the user's interaction includes determining that the user has clicked on an object of the animation at the final position.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1, wherein:
the monitoring the user's interaction includes determining that the user has moved a cursor to an end point of the animation before the animation has arrived at the end point; and
the continuously moving from the original position to the final position faster is based on the determination that the user has moved the cursor to the end point of the animation before the animation has arrived at the end point.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1, wherein:
the monitoring the user's interaction includes determining that the user has clicked on an object of the animation within a threshold period of time; and
the continuously moving from the original position to the final position faster is based on the determination that the user has clicked on the object of the animation within the threshold period of time.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1, wherein:
the monitoring the user's interaction includes determining that the animation has been displayed to the user at least a threshold number of times, the threshold number being at least two; and
the continuously moving from the original position to the final position faster is based on the determination that the animation has been displayed to the user at least the threshold number of times.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1, wherein the continuously moving from the original position to the final position faster includes an increased speed of movement of the animation across the display.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1, wherein the continuously moving from the original position to the final position faster includes a final image of the animation without motion of the animation.

### Claim 9

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium including instructions stored thereon that, when executed by at least one processor, cause a computing system to at least:
display, on a graphical user interface (GUI) on a display of the computing system, an initial animation to a user, the initial animation changing appearance as a function of time and being displayed to prompt an input from the user;
monitor, by the at least one processor of the computing system, the user's input to the displayed initial animation; and
display, by the GUI, a subsequent animation to the user, the subsequent animation having a different appearance to the initial animation based on the monitored input from the user without receiving an instruction from the user to change the animation.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The storage medium of claim 9, wherein:
the animation changing appearance includes the animation moving across a display as a function of time, and
the monitoring the user's input includes determining that the user has moved a cursor to an end point of the initial animation before the initial animation has arrived at the end point.

### Claim 11 (depends on 9)

The storage medium of claim 9, wherein:
the animation changing appearance includes the animation moving across a display from an original position to a final position, and
the monitoring the user's input includes determining that the user has moved a cursor to the final position before the initial animation has arrived at the final position.

### Claim 12 (depends on 9)

The storage medium of claim 9, wherein the monitoring the user's input includes determining that the user has clicked on the initial animation within a threshold period of time.

### Claim 13 (depends on 9)

The storage medium of claim 9, wherein the monitoring the user's input includes determining that the initial animation has been displayed to the user at least a threshold number of times, the threshold number being at least two.

### Claim 14 (depends on 9)

The storage medium of claim 9, wherein the subsequent animation changes appearance faster as a function of time than the initial animation.

### Claim 15 (depends on 9)

The storage medium of claim 9, wherein:
the initial animation changing appearance includes the initial animation moving across a display as a function of time, and
the subsequent animation moves across the display more quickly than the initial animation for which the user's input was monitored.

### Claim 16 (depends on 9)

The storage medium of claim 9, wherein:
the initial animation changing appearance includes the initial animation moving across a display from a first portion of the display to a final portion of the display, and
the subsequent animation includes the subsequent animation appearing at the final portion of the display without the subsequent animation moving across the display.

### Claim 17

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium including instructions stored thereon that, when executed by at least one processor, cause a computing system to at least:
display, on a graphical user interface (GUI) on a display of the computing system, an initial animation to a user, the initial animation moving from an original position on the display to a final position on the display and being displayed to prompt an input from the user;
monitor, by the at least one processor of the computing system, the user's interaction with the displayed initial animation;
determine, by the at least one processor, that the monitored interaction includes the user moving a cursor to the final position on the display; and
display, by the GUI, a subsequent animation to the user, the subsequent animation changing from the original position on the display to the final position on the display faster than the initial animation, the faster change being based on the determining.

### Claim 18 (depends on 17)

The storage medium of claim 17, wherein:
the determining includes determining that the monitored interaction includes the user moving the cursor to the final position before the initial animation has arrived at the final position.

### Claim 19 (depends on 17)

The storage medium of claim 17, wherein the determining includes determining that the monitored interaction includes the user moving the cursor to the final position on the display and clicking on the initial animation within a threshold period of time.

### Claim 20 (depends on 17)

The storage medium of claim 17, wherein the determining includes determining that the monitored interaction includes the user moving the cursor to the final position on the display and that the initial animation has been displayed to the user at least a threshold number of times, the threshold number being at least two.
