## Abstract

A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a first computing device having a controller to present an avatar having characteristics that correlate to a user profile and that conform to operating characteristics of the first computing device, and transmit to a second computing device operational information associated with the avatar for reproducing at least in part the avatar at said second computing device. Other embodiments are disclosed.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A computer-readable storage device, comprising executable instructions which when executed by a processor, facilitate performance of operations comprising:
detecting, by a system comprising the processor, a first computing device that is presenting a first avatar having characteristics that correlate to a user profile comprising demographic profiling information, psychographic profiling information, or both;
obtaining, by system, operational information associated with the first avatar, wherein the operational information is configured to a presentation resource of a second computing device; and
transmitting, by the system, the operational information to a second computing device, wherein the second computing device comprises an avatar engine, and wherein the avatar engine generates a second avatar based on the operational information and presents the second avatar at the presentation resource of the second computing device.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The storage device of claim 1, wherein the operational information is obtained from the first computing device.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The storage device of claim 1, wherein the first computing device comprises one of a computer, a cellular phone, a set-top box, a cordless phone, an appliance device, or any combination thereof.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The storage device of claim 1, wherein the obtaining of the operational information and the transmitting of the operational information to the second computing device is responsive to detecting a transition from a utilization of the first computing device to a utilization of the second computing device.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The storage device of claim 1, wherein the executable instructions correspond to artificial intelligence instructions for reproducing characteristics of the first avatar.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The storage device of claim 1, wherein the avatar engine performs operations for recording in a second user profile a portion of the information associated with the first avatar.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The storage device of claim 1, wherein the first computing device operates in one of a television communication system, a cellular communication system, an internet service provider communication system, or any combination thereof.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The storage device of claim 1, wherein characteristics of the first avatar correspond to one of physiological appearance, clothing style, speech, gestures, maturity, knowledge, or any combination thereof.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The storage device of claim 1, wherein the second computing device obtains the avatar engine from the system.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The storage device of claim 1, wherein the second avatar is at least similar to the first avatar, and wherein the first computing device terminates a presentation of the first avatar responsive to a presentation of the second avatar by the second computing device.

### Claim 11

A first computing device, comprising:
a processor; and
a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
presenting a first avatar having characteristics that correlate to a user profile comprising one of demographic profiling information, psychographic profiling information, or a combination thereof;
sending operational information associated with the first avatar, wherein a second computing device obtains the operation information configured to a presentation resource of the second computing device, wherein the second computing device presents a second avatar that is at least similar to the first avatar at a presentation resource of the second computing device; and
terminating the presentation of the first avatar responsive to the second avatar being presented by the second computing device.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The computing device of claim 11, wherein the second computing device obtains the operational information from a network element.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The computing device of claim 12, wherein the network element receives the operational information from the first computing device.

### Claim 14 (depends on 11)

The computing device of claim 11, wherein the computing device comprises one of a computer, a cellular phone, a set-top box, a cordless phone, an appliance device, or any combination thereof.

### Claim 15 (depends on 11)

The computing device of claim 11, wherein the sending of the operational information is responsive to detecting a transition from a utilization of the first computing device to a utilization of the second computing device.

### Claim 16 (depends on 11)

The computing device of claim 11, wherein characteristics of the first avatar correspond to one of physiological appearance, clothing style, speech, gestures, maturity, knowledge, or any combination thereof.

### Claim 17 (depends on 11)

The computing device of claim 11, wherein the first computing device operates in one of a television communication system, a cellular communication system, an internet service provider communication system, or any combination thereof.

### Claim 18

A method, comprising:
obtaining, at a system comprising a processor, operational information associated with a first avatar that is presented at a first computing device, wherein the first avatar comprises characteristics that correlate to demographic profiling information, psychographic profiling information, or both, and wherein the operational information is configured for a presentation resource of a second computing device; and
transmitting, by the system, the operational information to the second computing device for generating a second avatar based on the operational information and presenting the second avatar at the presentation resource of the second computing device.

### Claim 19 (depends on 18)

The method of claim 18, wherein the system comprises a network element providing avatar services to computing devices.

### Claim 20 (depends on 18)

The method of claim 18, wherein the system obtains the operational information from the first computing device.
