## Abstract

A computer system identifies metadata components that are associated with uniform resource identifiers (URIs) in service description language metadata for a RESTful (Representational State Transfer) web service The computer system identifies a programming language for a template pertaining to a method of a software development kit (SDK) client. The computer system creates the template. The template includes programming code placeholders for the metadata components based on the identified programming language.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method comprising:
identifying a plurality of metadata components associated with a plurality of uniform resource identifiers (URIs) in service description language metadata for a RESTful (Representational State Transfer) web service;
identifying a programming language for a template pertaining to a method of a software development kit (SDK) client; and
creating, by a computer system, the template comprising a plurality of programming code placeholders for the plurality of metadata components based on the identified programming language.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of metadata components comprises a URI description component comprising a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) hypertext reference attribute specifying a link to operate on a resource corresponding to the URI.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of metadata components comprises a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) method component, the HTTP method component describing a HTTP method for the URI.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of metadata components comprises a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) header component, the HTTP description of a header argument of the URI.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of metadata components comprises a description of a body argument of the URI.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of metadata components comprises a description of a response argument of the URI.

### Claim 7

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium including instructions that, when executed by a processing device, cause the processing device to perform a set of operations comprising:
identifying a plurality of metadata components associated with a plurality of uniform resource identifiers (URIs) in service description language metadata for a RESTful (Representational State Transfer) web service;
identifying a programming language for a template pertaining to a method of a software development kit (SDK) client and
creating, by the processing device, the template comprising a plurality of programming code placeholders for of the plurality of metadata components based on the identified programming language.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 7, wherein the plurality of metadata components comprises a URI description component comprising a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) hypertext reference attribute specifying a link to operate on a resource corresponding to the URI.

### Claim 9 (depends on 7)

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 7, wherein the plurality of metadata components comprises a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) method component, the HTTP method component describing a HTTP method for the URI.

### Claim 10 (depends on 7)

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 7, wherein the plurality of metadata components comprises a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) header component, the HTTP description of a header argument of the URI.

### Claim 11 (depends on 7)

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 7, wherein the plurality of metadata components comprises a description of a body argument of the URI.

### Claim 12 (depends on 7)

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 7, wherein the plurality of metadata components comprises a description of a response argument of the URI.

### Claim 13

A system comprising:
a memory; and
a processing device coupled to the memory to:
identify a plurality of metadata components associated with a plurality of uniform resource identifiers (URIs) in service description language metadata for a RESTful (Representational State Transfer) web service;
identify a programming language for a template pertaining to a method of a software development kit (SDK) client; and
create the template comprising a plurality of programming code placeholders for the plurality of metadata components based on the identified programming language.

### Claim 14 (depends on 13)

The system of claim 13, wherein the plurality of metadata components comprises a URI description component comprising a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) hypertext reference attribute specifying a link to operate on a resource corresponding to the URI.

### Claim 15 (depends on 13)

The system of claim 13, wherein the plurality of metadata components comprises a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) method component, the HTTP method component describing a HTTP method for the URI.

### Claim 16 (depends on 13)

The system of claim 13, wherein the plurality of metadata components comprises a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) header component, the HTTP description of a header argument of the URI.

### Claim 17 (depends on 13)

The system of claim 13, wherein the plurality of metadata components comprises at least one of a description of a body argument of the URI or a description of a response argument of the URI.
