## Abstract

A suspension liner sleeve adapted to provide an interface between a residual limb and a prosthetic socket, and having outer and inner surfaces. The liner sleeve includes an elongate, generally conical body portion formed from at least one material segment defining the liner outer surface. The at least one material segment being at least radially elastically extensible from a relaxed non-extended condition and including proximal and distal end areas. The liner sleeve includes a layer of polymeric material disposed on the at least one material segment and defining the liner sleeve inner surface, and a plurality of resilient seal elements protruding radially from the liner sleeve outer surface. The plurality of seal elements extend around at least one peripheral portion of the liner body portion. A pair of opposed annular recesses may be adjacently located above and below each of the at least one seal element.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A suspension liner adapted to provide an interface between a residual limb and a prosthetic socket, and defines an interior surface and an exterior surface forming a liner profile with a closed distal end, the suspension liner comprising:
an elongate, generally conical liner body portion formed from a polymeric material;
at least one textile segment secured to and substantially coextensive with the liner body portion;
at least one seal protruding circumferentially about and radially outwardly from the liner profile;
wherein the at least one seal is defined by a molded portion of the polymeric material forming the liner body portion continuously extending through the at least one textile segment and is unitary and integrally formed with the liner body portion, the at least one seal defines a distal arcuate section and a proximal arcuate section extending to a peak forming an outward radial extremity of the suspension liner, the at least one seal is arranged for deflection toward the liner profile when donned on a residual limb and placed within a prosthetic socket.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The suspension liner of claim 1, further comprising a seam located at the proximal end of the at least one seal.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The suspension liner of claim 1, wherein the polymeric material continuously extends through the at least one textile segment and is formed on opposed sides of the at least one textile segment at least at a location corresponding to the at least one seal.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The suspension liner of claim 1, wherein the at least one textile segment is impregnated within the polymeric material.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The suspension liner of claim 1, wherein the at least one seal extends entirely around the liner body.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The suspension liner of claim 1, wherein the polymeric material forms both the interior and exterior surfaces of the suspension liner.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The suspension liner of claim 1, wherein the at least one textile segment includes first and second textile segments, the first material segment having a stiffness greater than a stiffness of the second material segment.

### Claim 8 (depends on 8)

The suspension liner of claim 8, wherein the first material segment is located at a distal portion of the suspension liner and the second material segment is located at least in a proximal portion of the suspension liner.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The suspension liner of claim 1, wherein the at least one textile segment is located and embedded within the polymeric material closer to the interior surface of the suspension liner than the exterior surface of the suspension liner.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The suspension liner of claim 1, wherein the polymeric material is a silicone elastomer.

### Claim 11 (depends on 1)

The suspension liner of claim 1, wherein the at least one seal includes first and second seals equally spaced from one another by a clearance along the liner profile.

### Claim 12 (depends on 1)

The suspension liner of claim 1, further comprising a recess formed at distal and proximal roots of the at least one seal element.

### Claim 13 (depends on 1)

The suspension liner of claim 1, wherein the liner body portion extends over interior and exterior surfaces of the at least one textile segment.

### Claim 14 (depends on 1)

The suspension liner of claim 1, wherein a distal reinforcing cup is provided at a distal portion of the suspension liner.

### Claim 15 (depends on 14)

The suspension liner of claim 14, wherein the distal reinforcing cup extends over the closed distal end of the liner body portion.

### Claim 16

A suspension liner adapted to provide an interface between a residual limb and a prosthetic socket, and defines an interior surface and an exterior surface forming a liner profile with a closed distal end, the suspension liner comprising:
an elongate, generally conical liner body portion formed from at least one type of polymeric material;
at least one textile segment secured to and substantially coextensive with the liner body portion;
