## Abstract

The present application discloses a method and apparatus for settling particles from waters that come out of plants that produce waste waters with hazardous components, utilizing vacuum power generated by vacuum generator down the waist water draining line. The method comprising a device with separation and sedimentation chamber, that allows phase separation through a unique cyclone-generating design, which leads to a filtering-chamber equipped with a dual pore-size filter that allows significant segregation of particles by particle size and mass, and thus allows highly efficient separation of hazardous particles from the waste water, which could exit the apparatus of present invention with significantly low content of hazardous particles.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method and device for settling particles from waters that comes out of plants that produce waste waters with hazardous components, comprising a separation and filtering device, with cyclone-current generating geometry and dual pore-size filter.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the flow of water through said device is forced by utilizing vacuum power, generated by vacuum generator down the waist water draining line.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein said dual pore-size filter is assembled to allow the water jet deflected from the separation chamber to pass first through the higher pore-size filter and after then through the lower pore-size filter.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The method of claim 3, wherein said low pore-size filter have pore size in the range of 1 to 10 microns.

### Claim 5 (depends on 3)

The method of claim 3, wherein said high pore-size filter have pore size in the range of 5 to 100 microns.

### Claim 6 (depends on 3)

The method of claim 3, wherein said low pore-size filter have pore size in the range of 1 to 100 microns.

### Claim 7 (depends on 3)

The method of claim 3 wherein said high pore-size filter have pore size in the range of 50 to 1000 microns.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein said dual pore-size filter is assembled to allow the water jet deflected from the separation chamber to hit first the lower pore-size filter and after then the higher pore-size filter.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8, wherein said low pore-size filter have pore size in the range of 1 to 10 microns.

### Claim 10 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8, wherein said high pore-size filter have pore size in the range of 5 to 100 microns.

### Claim 11 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8, wherein said low pore-size filter have pore size in the range of 1 to 100 microns.

### Claim 12 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8, wherein said high pore-size filter have pore size in the range of 50 to 1000 microns.

### Claim 13 (depends on 1)

A method of claim 1, wherein said separation and filtering device is connected to a control unit that control the vacuum gradient between the inlet and outlet sides of the device that will report the need to replace the used settling and filtering unit with new one, by connection to a computer or by triggering an audio-visual alarm.

### Claim 14 (depends on 1)

A method of claim 1, wherein said separation and filtering device is dismantled safely at the end of use, and sealed in container device with a step of deactivation or detoxification of its hazardous content, before being shipped safely for further processing and recycling.

### Claim 15 (depends on 1)

A method of claim 1, wherein said separation and filtering device is attached tightly to a dental surgery equipment for effective separation and collection of inert and biologically-active particles from dental waste water.

### Claim 16 (depends on 1)

A device according to claim 1 wherein said separation and filtering device consists of:
(a) device main-body; (b) container; (c) filter house that bridge the gap between the main-body and the container; (d) a dual pore-size filter that fits into the filter house; (e) a central outlet orifice in the main-body through which the waste exit the device with the assistance of a vacuum power from a remote vacuum generator; (f) two symmetrical inlets that evacuates dental surgery waste, comprising air fluid and solid particles, from the mouth of the patient with the assistance of the vacuum power; (g) a cyclone generator that spins said air fluid and solid particles against the walls of said container; and (h) a spring valve and air insert for each inlet to control the flow from the mouth of the patient into the device.

### Claim 17 (depends on 16)

A device according to claim 16 wherein said container is with central inverted-cone shape to serve as a part of the cyclonic separation process and with a tipped central nose of said inverted cone that will serve as the lower holder of the said filter.
