## Abstract

Systems and methods are provided for media devices including a housing, a frame disposed adjacent to the housing, and an acoustic source that is integrated with the frame for emitting sound from the media device.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A media device comprising:
an acoustic source;
an enclosure for enclosing at least a portion of the acoustic source; and
a frame that is adjacent to the acoustic source and that supports the acoustic source by extending through at least a portion of the enclosure and beyond an outer surface of the enclosure.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The media device of claim 1, wherein the frame is coupled to the acoustic source.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The media device of claim 1, wherein the frame comprises at least one aperture that is in acoustic communication with the acoustic source.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The media device of claim 1, wherein the enclosure comprises an upper casing, and wherein the at least a portion of the acoustic source is enclosed within the upper casing.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The media device of claim 4, wherein the upper casing is coupled to the frame.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The media device of claim 1, wherein:
the enclosure comprises an upper casing and a lower casing;
a first portion of the at least a portion of the acoustic source is enclosed within the upper casing;
a second portion of the at least a portion of the acoustic source is enclosed within the lower casing; and
the frame extends between at least a portion of the upper casing and the lower casing.

The media device of claim 1 further comprising a housing, wherein the frame is coupled to at least a portion of the housing.

The media device of claim 7, wherein the frame is coupled to the at least a portion of the housing via at least one gasket.

A device comprising:
a housing;
a plurality of backplanes that are situated within the housing; and
an acoustic source that is supported by a portion of a first backplane of the plurality of backplanes.

The device of claim 9, wherein:
a first plane of the first backplane is parallel to a second plane of a second backplane of the plurality of backplanes; and
the second backplane is shifted from the first backplane in a direction that is orthogonal to the first plane.

The device of claim 10, wherein the acoustic source is further supported by the second backplane.

### Claim 12 (depends on 9)

The device of claim 9 further comprising a casing that encloses at least a portion of the acoustic source.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The device of claim 12, wherein:
a first plane of the first backplane is parallel to a second plane of a second backplane of the plurality of backplanes; and
the casing is supported by each of the first backplane and the second backplane.
