## Abstract

A directed-energy irradiating apparatus invention includes a switch which selects one of an FEL apparatus and an HPM apparatus to be supplied with microwave based on external environmental data. A target is destroyed even in a situation that a destruction effect by a FEL beam cannot be expected, while maintaining the destruction ability for the target by the FEL beam.
