## CPC

- G02B 6/0008: {the light being emitted at the end of the fibre}
- G02B: OPTICAL ELEMENTS, SYSTEMS OR APPARATUS

## Abstract

The present invention is to provide a light guide structure, which includes a conical light guide element being a hollow cone and having an inner surface configured as a reflective surface, a light-emitting element (e.g., an LED) provided in a pointed end of the conical light guide element, and a partially blocking reflective element covering an opening on the other end of the conical light guide element and including a light-permeable region and an opaque reflective region. The opaque reflective region corresponds in position to an optical axis of the light-emitting element, and the light-permeable region is located around the opaque reflective region and outside the optical axis. Thus, when the light emitted by the light-emitting element passes through the conical light guide element, the light will be repeatedly reflected by the reflective surface and the partially blocking reflective element until being fully projected to and penetrates the light-permeable region.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A light guide structure for guiding light broadly, the light guide structure being installed in a housing of an electronic device and corresponding in position to a light-permeable portion of the housing, the light guide structure comprising:
a conical light guide element formed as a hollow cone and having an inner surface configured as a reflective surface for reflecting light, there being a light-emitting element provided in the conical light guide element, the conical light guide element having an end which is away from a pointed end thereof and is formed as an opening, the opening corresponding in position to the light-permeable portion of the housing, the light-emitting element generating a light beam and projecting the light beam to the opening along a central axis of the conical light guide element; and
a partially blocking reflective element installed at the end of the conical light guide element that is away from the pointed end thereof, the partially blocking reflective element covering the opening and comprising at least one light-permeable region and at least one opaque reflective region, the at least one opaque reflective region corresponding in position to an optical axis of the light beam, the at least one light-permeable region being located around the at least one opaque reflective region and outside the optical axis of the light beam, wherein after the light beam passes through the conical light guide element, a portion of the light beam penetrates the at least one light-permeable region, and a remaining portion of the light beam is reflected back into the conical light guide element by blocked reflection of the at least one opaque reflective region and is reflected to the partially blocking reflective element by conical reflection of the reflective surface such that, after repetition of the blocked reflection and of the conical reflection, the remaining portion of the light beam is projected to and penetrates the at least one light-permeable region and is projected out of the housing through the light-permeable portion.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The light guide structure of claim 1, wherein the partially blocking reflective element lies between the conical light guide element and the light-permeable portion, and the partially blocking reflective element has a side covering the opening and an opposite side attached to the light-permeable portion of the housing.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The light guide structure of claim 2, wherein the light-emitting element is provided adjacent to the pointed end of the conical light guide element.

### Claim 4

A light guide structure for guiding light broadly, the light guide structure being installed in a housing of an electronic device and corresponding in position to a hollowed-out portion of the housing, the light guide structure comprising:
a conical light guide element formed as a hollow cone and having an inner surface configured as a reflective surface for reflecting light, there being a light-emitting element provided in the conical light guide element, the conical light guide element having an end which is away from a pointed end thereof and is formed as an opening, the opening corresponding in position to the hollowed-out portion of the housing, the light-emitting element generating a light beam and projecting the light beam to the opening along a central axis of the conical light guide element; and
a partially blocking reflective element installed at the end of the conical light guide element that is away from the pointed end thereof, the partially blocking reflective element covering the opening and comprising at least one light-permeable region and at least one opaque reflective region, the at least one opaque reflective region corresponding in position to an optical axis of the light beam, the at least one light-permeable region being located around the at least one opaque reflective region and outside the optical axis of the light beam, wherein after the light beam passes through the conical light guide element, a portion of the light beam penetrates the at least one light-permeable region, and a remaining portion of the light beam is reflected back into the conical light guide element by blocked reflection of the at least one opaque reflective region and is reflected to the partially blocking reflective element by conical reflection of the reflective surface such that, after repetition of the blocked reflection and of the conical reflection, the remaining portion of the light beam is projected to and penetrates the at least one light-permeable region and is projected out of the housing through the hollowed-out portion.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The light guide structure of claim 4, wherein the partially blocking reflective element is embedded in the hollowed-out portion.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The light guide structure of claim 5, wherein the light-emitting element is provided adjacent to the pointed end of the conical light guide element.

### Claim 7

A light guide structure for guiding light broadly, the light guide structure being provided in a housing of an electronic device, the light guide structure comprising:
a conical light guide element installed on an inner surface of the housing, formed as a hollow cone, and having an inner surface configured as a reflective surface for reflecting light, there being a light-emitting element provided in the conical light guide element, the conical light guide element having an end which is away from a pointed end thereof and is formed as an opening, the light-emitting element generating a light beam and projecting the light beam to the opening along a central axis of the conical light guide element;
