## Abstract

A method for controlling a display device that displays a frame buffer on a plurality of screens is provided. The method includes receiving a multi-screen mode execution command to display a single frame buffer on a plurality of screens, acquiring the frame buffer, splitting the frame buffer into a plurality of frame buffers to correspond to the plurality of screens, setting an offset for each of the plurality of split frame buffers, and displaying each of the plurality of split frame buffers on an associated one of the plurality of screens based on the set offset.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method for controlling a display device that displays a frame buffer on a plurality of screens, the method comprising:
receiving a multi-screen mode execution command to display a single frame buffer on a plurality of screens;
acquiring the frame buffer;
splitting the frame buffer into a plurality of frame buffers to correspond to the plurality of screens;
setting an offset for each of the plurality of split frame buffers; and
displaying each of the plurality of split frame buffers on an associated one of the plurality of screens based on the set offset.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the offset is a difference between a display end point of a previous split frame buffer and a display start point of a next split frame buffer.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the setting of the offset comprises:
acquiring an address of a display start point and an address of a display end point for each of the plurality of split frame buffers; and
setting the offset based on the acquired address of the display start point and the acquired address of the display end point for each of the plurality of split frame buffers.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The method of claim 3, wherein the displaying comprises setting an address of a display start point of a next split frame buffer by applying the offset to an address of a display end point of a previous split frame buffer.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The method of claim 4, wherein the displaying comprises displaying each of the plurality of split frame buffers on an associated one of the plurality of screens based on the address of the display start point and the address of the display end point.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising determining whether a character or a person's face is included in the frame buffer.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The method of claim 6, wherein the setting of the offset comprises setting, if a character or a person's face is included in the frame buffer, the offset so that an overall shape of the character or an overall shape of the person's face may be included in the frame buffer in which the character or the person's face is split.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the setting of the offset comprises:
providing an interface through which the offset may be set; and
receiving the offset input through the interface.

### Claim 9

A display device for displaying a frame buffer on a plurality of screens, the display device comprising:
an input unit configured to receive a multi-screen mode execution command to display a single frame buffer on a plurality of screens;
a controller configured to acquire the frame buffer, to split the frame buffer into a plurality of frame buffers to correspond to the plurality of screens, and to set an offset for each of the plurality of split frame buffers; and
a display unit configured to display each of the plurality of split frame buffers on an associated one of the plurality of screens based on the set offset.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The display device of claim 9, wherein the offset is a difference between a display end point of a previous split frame buffer and a display start point of a next split frame buffer.

### Claim 11 (depends on 9)

The display device of claim 9, wherein the controller is further configured to acquire an address of a display start point and an address of a display end point for each of the plurality of split frame buffers, and to set the offset based on the acquired address of the display start point and the acquired address of the display end point for each of the plurality of split frame buffers.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The display device of claim 11, wherein the controller is configured to set an address of a display start point of a next split frame buffer by applying the offset to an address of a display end point of a previous split frame buffer.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The display device of claim 12, wherein the controller is configured to control the display unit to display each of the plurality of split frame buffers on an associated one of the plurality of screens based on the address of the display start point and the address of the display end point.

### Claim 14 (depends on 9)

The display device of claim 9, wherein the controller is configured to determine whether a character or a person's face is included in the frame buffer.

### Claim 15 (depends on 14)

The display device of claim 14, wherein if a character or a person's face is included in the frame buffer, the controller is configured to set the offset so that an overall shape of the character or an overall shape of the person's face may be included in the frame buffer in which the character or the person's face is split.

### Claim 16 (depends on 9)

The display device of claim 9, wherein the controller is configured to control the display unit to provide an interface through which the offset may be set; and
wherein the input unit is configured to receive the offset input through the interface.

### Claim 17

A method for controlling a first display device that performs cooperative display with a second display device, the method comprising:
transmitting a frame buffer to the second display device;
splitting the frame buffer into a first frame buffer and a second frame buffer; and
displaying the first frame buffer.

### Claim 18

A method for controlling a second display device that performs cooperative display with a first display device, the method comprising:
receiving a frame buffer from the first display device;
splitting the frame buffer into a first frame buffer and a second frame buffer;
measuring a distance between a screen of the first display device and a screen of the second display device;
