## Abstract

A magnetic resonance imaging data sampling method includes randomly undersampling a first half of a k-space plane such that a plurality of points in the first half are sampled points and the remaining plurality of points in the first half are unsampled points. The method also includes determining, for each sampled point in the first half, a corresponding point in a second half of the k-space plane that corresponds to the point-wise complex conjugate location of the sampled point.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A magnetic resonance imaging method, comprising:
randomly undersampling a first portion of a k-space plane;

sampling additional points in either the first portion or the second portion of the k-space plane that have not been sampled or computed; and
computing, for each additional sampled point, a corresponding point at a corresponding complex conjugate location.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the first portion comprises a first half of the k-space plane, and the second portion comprises a second half of the k-space plane.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, comprising sampling a second set of additional points in one or more quadrants of the k-space when the mathematical origin of the phase-encoding plane does not correspond to the center of the k-space plane.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The method of claim 3, comprising computing points at complex conjugate locations for one or more of the second set of additional sampled points.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the k-space plane comprises a ky-kz plane, a kx-kz plane, a kx-ky plane, or a kx-ky-kz plane.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, comprising generating a map corresponding to the k-space plane by compiling the sampled and computed points.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The method of claim 6, comprising utilizing the generated map to generate one or more reconstructed images of a subject or object.

### Claim 8

A magnetic resonance imaging data sampling method, comprising:
randomly undersampling a first half of a k-space plane such that a plurality of points in the first half are sampled points and the remaining plurality of points in the first half are unsampled points; and
determining, for each sampled point in the first half, a corresponding point in a second half of a k-space sampling pattern that corresponds to the point-wise complex conjugate location of the sampled point.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8, comprising sampling one or more additional points in one or more rows or columns of the k-space plane when the mathematical origin of the k-space plane does not correspond to the center of the k-space plane.

The method of claim 13, comprising utilizing the generated map to generate one or more reconstructed images of a subject or object.

### Claim 15

A non-transitory computer readable medium encoding one or more executable routines, which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform acts comprising:
sampling magnetic resonance imaging data in an incoherent sampling pattern, wherein for each k-space location pair of points in a phase-encoding plane that are symmetric about an origin, one of the pair of points is sampled and the other of the pair of points is not sampled and is computed by using the complex conjugate of the sampled point.

### Claim 16 (depends on 15)
