## Abstract

The invention relates to an energy supply circuit of electric components, in particular for a motor vehicle, having an accumulator, wherein a discharge monitoring circuit monitors the energy stored in the accumulator. If the energy stored in the accumulator falls below a threshold value, the discharge monitoring circuit switches off the energy supply at least of individual components, in particular of all components.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An energy supply circuit for electric components in a motor vehicle, comprising an accumulator, and a discharge monitoring circuit that monitors the energy stored in the accumulator, wherein the discharge monitoring circuit switches off the energy supply at least of individual electric components of the motor vehicle if the energy stored in the accumulator falls below a threshold value.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The energy supply circuit as claimed in claim 1, wherein residual energy contained in the accumulator is provided to an electric component of the motor vehicle upon request.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The energy supply circuit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the motor vehicle has a locking system that comprises a first device designed as a control device having at least two states, and an associated second device, wherein the first and second devices have transmitters and/or receivers for transmitting and/or receiving electromagnetic signals, wherein at least one of the signals transmitted between the second device and the first device is an encoded operating signal for authentication of the second device, so that a change of the state of the first device can be brought about after a positive evaluation of the transmitted operating signal if the second device is authorized, and wherein the first device is supplied with energy from the accumulator for normal operation, and wherein the electric component to which the residual energy is provided is a component of the locking system.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The energy supply circuit as claimed in claim 3 wherein the electric component of the first device that is supplied with the residual energy is a module for a driving authorization system and/or for an access authorization system of the motor vehicle.

### Claim 5 (depends on 3)

The energy supply circuit as claimed in claim 3, wherein the second device is activated using the residual energy via an access authorization system module of the motor vehicle with the aid of a transponder for the access authorization system of the motor vehicle, and a coil of the transponder is placed in the door handle on the door or at another location in the exterior area of the motor vehicle.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The energy supply circuit as claimed in claim 1, wherein residual energy of the accumulator is connected via a separate activation unit for operating electronics of the motor vehicle, so that at least one starting procedure can be carried out for the motor vehicle.

### Claim 7 (depends on 3)

The energy supply circuit as claimed in claim 3, wherein the second device is activated using the residual energy via a driving authorization system module of the motor vehicle with the aid of a transponder for the driving authorization system of the motor vehicle, and a coil of the transponder is placed in the dashboard or at another location in the interior area of the motor vehicle.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The energy supply circuit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the accumulator is a lithium-ion battery.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The energy supply circuit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the discharge monitoring circuit switches off the energy supply of all electric components of the motor vehicle if the energy stored in the accumulator falls below a threshold value.

### Claim 10 (depends on 3)

The energy supply circuit as claimed in claim 3, wherein the locking system of the motor vehicle provides at least one of access and driving authorization of the motor vehicle.

### Claim 11 (depends on 3)

The energy supply circuit as claimed in claim 3, wherein the first device is one of a control device for unlocking and/or locking the doors of the motor vehicle, the ignition lock of the motor vehicle, the steering wheel lock of the motor vehicle, for enabling and/or disabling the immobilizer of the motor vehicle, and the engine control unit.

### Claim 12 (depends on 3)

The energy supply circuit as claimed in claim 3, wherein the second device is one of an electronic key, an ID transmitter, and a chip card.

### Claim 13 (depends on 3)

The energy supply circuit as claimed in claim 3, wherein the electric component to which the residual energy from the accumulator is provided is a component of the first device.

### Claim 14 (depends on 4)

The energy supply circuit as claimed in claim 4, wherein the electric component of the first device that is supplied with the residual energy from the accumulator is a module in the door of the motor vehicle for the door lock.
