## Abstract

A vehicle suspension transverse link, including a bearing journal assembly having a pin-shaped portion and an anchor portion that attaches to a connecting point on the link. The anchor portion has an unrounded configuration.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A transverse link for a vehicle, comprising:
a connecting leg configured to connect the link to a vehicle body;
a wheel leg attached to the connecting leg and configured to connect the link to a wheel carrier; and
a bearing journal having a flattened anchoring portion secured to the connecting leg.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The transverse link of claim 1, wherein the anchoring portion is formed in a trapezoidal or triangular configuration.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The transverse link of claim 2, wherein the connecting leg includes a connecting point hollowed so as to at least partially surround the anchoring portion of the bearing journal.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The transverse link of claim 3, wherein the connecting leg includes a recess formed at the connecting point.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The transverse link of claim 1, wherein the connecting leg includes a connecting point hollowed so as to at least partially surround the anchoring portion of the bearing journal.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The transverse link of claim 1, wherein the connecting leg includes a recess.

### Claim 7

A vehicle suspension transverse link, made by:
providing a connecting leg configured to connect the link to a vehicle body;
providing a wheel leg attached to the connecting leg and configured to connect the link to a wheel carrier;
flattening an anchor portion of a bearing journal; and
welding the anchoring portion of the bearing journal to the connecting leg.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The transverse link of claim 7, further comprising:
forming the anchoring portion in a triangular or trapezoidal configuration.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The transverse link of claim 8, further comprising:
forming the connecting leg and wheel leg from a single piece of sheet metal.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The transverse link of claim 9, further comprising:
forming a recess at a connecting point between the bearing journal and connecting leg.

### Claim 11 (depends on 7)

The transverse link of claim 7, further comprising:
forming the connecting leg and wheel leg from a single piece of sheet metal.

### Claim 12 (depends on 7)

The transverse link of claim 7, further comprising:
forming a recess at a connecting point between the bearing journal and connecting leg.

### Claim 13

A vehicle suspension transverse link, comprising:
a bearing journal assembly having a pin-shaped portion and an anchor portion that attaches to a connecting point on the link;
wherein the anchor portion has an unrounded configuration.

### Claim 14 (depends on 13)

The transverse link of claim 13, wherein the anchor portion includes a flat surface.

### Claim 15 (depends on 14)

The transverse link of claim 14, wherein the connecting point is hollow.

### Claim 16 (depends on 15)

The transverse link of claim 15, wherein the anchor portion has a trapezoidal or triangular configuration.

### Claim 17 (depends on 16)

The transverse link of claim 16, further comprising:
a connecting leg to which the bearing journal assembly is attached;
wherein the connecting leg includes a recess.

### Claim 18 (depends on 13)

The transverse link of claim 13, wherein the connecting point is hollow.

### Claim 19 (depends on 13)

The transverse link of claim 13, wherein the anchor portion has a trapezoidal or triangular configuration.

### Claim 20 (depends on 13)

The transverse link of claim 13, further comprising:
a connecting leg to which the bearing journal assembly is attached;
wherein the connecting leg includes a recess.
