## Abstract

A filter securing system including a filter unit body housing; at least one tubular filter element positioned in the filter unit body housing, the tubular filter element having a closed top and an open bottom; a dimple in either the filter unit body housing or the top of the tubular filter element; and a socket in either the filter unit body housing or the top of the tubular filter element that receives the dimple in either the filter unit body housing or the top of the tubular filter element to secure the tubular filter element to the filter unit body housing.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A filter securing apparatus, comprising:
a filter unit including a frame unit;
at least one tubular filter element positioned in said frame unit, said tubular filter element having a closed top and an open bottom;
a dimple in either said frame unit or said closed top of said tubular filter element; and
a socket in either said frame unit or said closed top of said tubular filter element that receives said dimple in either said frame unit or said closed top of said tubular filter element to secure said tubular filter element to said filter unit.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The filter securing apparatus of claim 1 wherein said dimple is located in said closed top of said tubular filter element and said socket is located in said frame unit to secure said tubular filter element to said filter unit.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The filter securing apparatus of claim 1 wherein said dimple is located in said frame unit and said socket is located in said closed top of said tubular filter element to secure said tubular filter element to said filter unit.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The filter securing apparatus of claim 1 wherein said frame unit is a square frame unit.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The filter securing apparatus of claim 1 wherein said frame unit is a trapezoid frame unit.

### Claim 7

A filter securing apparatus, comprising:
a filter unit body housing;
a multiplicity of tubular filter elements positioned in said filter unit body housing, said tubular filter elements having a closed tops and open bottoms;
dimples in either said filter unit body housing or said tops of said tubular filter elements; and
a sockets in either said filter unit body housing or said tops of said tubular filter elements that receive said dimples in either said filter unit body housing or said tops of said tubular filter elements to secure said tubular filter elements to said filter unit body housing.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The filter securing apparatus of claim 7 wherein said dimples are located in said tops of said tubular filter elements and said sockets are located in said filter unit body housing to secure said tubular filter elements to said filter unit.

### Claim 9 (depends on 7)

The filter securing apparatus of claim 7 wherein said dimples are located in said filter unit body housing and said sockets are located in said tops of said tubular filter elements to secure said tubular filter elements to said filter unit.

### Claim 10 (depends on 7)
