## Abstract

A rotating blade food preparation device (10) for cutting, shaving, slicing, and peeling, vegetables and fruits, cheese, tofu, pizza, meats and other food products, includes a handle (12), a frame element (16) connected to the handle (12), and a rotating blade assembly (28) operably secured to the frame and having dual or multiple functionalities and interchangeability with other rotating blade assemblies.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A cutting, peeling, shaving, slicing, and coning device having dual functional and interchangeable assemblies, for preparing fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meats and other food products comprising:
a handle element having a first end and a second end; said first end being elongated and adapted to be held in a human hand; and said second end being configured to secure and position a rotating cutting assembly being interchangeable with a wide variety of differing configured rotating cutting assemblies including positioning mechanisms so as to allow for the interchangeable rotating cutting assembly to be rotated into any chosen position and then secured in that position allowing for two or more functions, such as cutting, slicing, or peeling to be performed by either changing the rotating cutting assembly, the interchangeable rotating cutting assembly may be changed with other rotating cutting assemblies which have different configurations and orientations of cutting blades or edges, or by changing the orientation of the rotating cutting assembly on said handle element

The device of claim 1, wherein said rotating cutting assembly includes a shaft for operable engagement with said handle element.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The device of claim 2, wherein said handle element includes two receiving apertures to receive said shaft.

The device of claim 3, wherein said shaft is substantially u-shaped, and is secured to said handle element by fasteners allowing for the shaft to rotate and to be secured in a desired position on said handle element.

### Claim 5 (depends on 2)

The device of claim 2, wherein said shaft is secured to said handle element by removable fasteners allowing for said rotating cutting assembly to rotate and to be secured in a desired position on said frame element, and allowing said rotating cutting assembly to be removed from said frame element, and changed or interchanged with another rotating blade element.

The device of claim 1, wherein said plurality of cutting elements comprise a plurality of cutting wires secured by a tension mechanism to said rotating cutting assembly.

The device of claim 1, wherein said rotating cutting assembly is skeletal in configuration and includes a plurality of saw-like cutting blade surfaces.

### Claim 8

A food preparation device, for cutting, shaving, slicing, peeling, and coning fruits, vegetables, cheeses, tofu, breads, meats, and the like, comprising:
a handle;
a frame element connected to said handle; and
a rotating blade assembly operably secured to said frame having dual or multi-functional food preparation capabilities and interchangeable with other rotating blade assemblies; said rotating blade assembly having a plurality of cutting elements for cutting, shaving, slicing and peeling said fruits, vegetables, cheeses, tofu, breads, meats, pizza, and the like.

The food preparation device of claim 8, wherein said rotating blade assembly includes a shaft for operable engagement with said frame element.

The food preparation device of claim 9, wherein said shaft is substantially U-shaped.

The food preparation device of claim 10, wherein said shaft is secured to said frame element by removable and adjustable fasteners allowing for the shaft to rotate and to be secured in a desired position within said frame element.

The food preparation device of claim 8, wherein said rotating blade assembly includes at least one cutting edge.

### Claim 13 (depends on 8)

The food preparation device of claim 8, wherein said rotating blade assembly includes at least one shred cutter blade element.

The food preparation device of claim 8, wherein said rotating blade assembly includes two substantially circular cutting elements.

The food preparation device of claim 8, wherein said rotating blade assembly includes a wire tension attachment mechanism for securing cutting wires, or blades to the rotating blade assembly.

The food preparation device of claim 15, wherein said wire tension attachment mechanism includes a moveable spool.

### Claim 17

A food cutting, peeling, shaving, and slicing device, comprising:
a handle element having a first end and a second end; said first end being elongated and adapted to be held in a human hand; and said second end being configured to secure and position a rotating cutting assembly having a plurality of functionalities; said rotating cutting assembly including a frame for securing a plurality of cutting elements therein.

The food cutting, peeling, shaving, and slicing device of claim 17, wherein said rotating cutting assembly includes a shaft having an adjustment knob operably secured thereto.

### Claim 19 (depends on 17)

The food cutting, peeling, shaving, and slicing device of claim 17, wherein said rotating cutting assembly includes a wire tension attachment mechanism for securing cutting wires, or blades to the rotating blade assembly.
