Slipsheet, Divider Sheet and Method for Making the Same

A method for making a slipsheet comprising the steps of forming a first sheet comprising high density polyethylene;

• forming a second sheet comprising linear low density polyethylene;
• and
• passing the first and second sheets through a set of rollers, wherein the set of rollers press the first and second sheets together and form a single unitary sheet, and
• wherein one of the rollers has a surface indented by an etching process, the indented surface of the roller imparting a raised surface on the single unitary sheet.

A method for forming a slipsheet or divider sheet, comprising the steps of:

• providing a die having indentations;
• and
• pressing the die on a sheet so that the indentations on the die form a raised surface on the sheet, wherein
• the indentations on the die are not made by sandblasting the die.

A method for moving or storing containers with a fork lift vehicle with platens and a push-pull device, comprising the steps of;

• providing a thermoplastic slipsheet having opposing sides, wherein a first side is smooth relative to a second side two, which comprises an imprinted pattern;
• placing said containers on the first side one;
• and
• using the fork lift vehicle to move the slipsheet and goods, wherein side two contacts the platens.

A method of moving or storing containers, comprising the steps of;

• providing a plurality of thermoplastic divider sheets, each comprising opposing first and second sides, wherein said first sides comprise an imprinted pattern;
• placing a layer of containers to be stored or moved on said first divider sheet;
• placing a second thermoplastic divider sheet over said containers resting on the first thermoplastic divider sheet;
• and
• placing a second layer of containers on the second divider sheet;
• wherein said divider sheets each comprise an edge and a tab along the edge for the push-pull device to grip as a platen slides under the divider sheet.
