Abstract
A tool for use with is configured with a tool centering element and a fastening portion with form-locking elements for axial mounting and fastening onto a drive shaft of a hand-held power tool. The drive shaft is drivable in oscillating fashion and the centering element centers the tool relative to the drive shaft. The tool form-locking elements define a rotary position of the tool relative to the drive shaft. The centering element may be a through-hole in a fastening portion of the tool or, may be a fastening screw that passes through an axially centered through hole in the fastening portion to the tool for securing the toll and fastening screw in a bore within the drive shaft to which the tool is attached for intended operation.
Claims11
A tool for mounting on a drive shaft of a hand-held power tool, comprising:
- a tool centering element having a circular cross section that centers the tool relative to the drive shaft of the hand-held power tool, wherein the drive shaft is drivable in oscillating fashion;
- a fastening portion with tool form-locking elements arranged radially outside said centering element for axial mounting and fastening the tool onto a bearing flange integral with the drive shaft in order to define a rotary position of the tool relative to the drive shaft;
- wherein the centering element and tool form-locking elements are disposed in a first tool part that is arranged in parallel to a second tool part that is connected to said first tool part via an inclined section and the form-locking elements;
- wherein said tool form-locking elements are distributed uniformly over an angular range that is defined by the entire circumference of a circular face of the fastening portion and, are defined by a quadrangular cross section that corresponds to a trapezoidal cross section of flange form-locking elements disposed on the bearing flange, which trapezoidal cross section is perpendicular to an axis of the drive shaft, and
- wherein the tool centering element is configured as a through-hole for receiving a fastening screw that has a circular cross section substantially equivalent to the circular cross section of the tool centering element and, is passed through the through-hole and secured to the drive shaft prior to operating the hand-held power tool.
A tool for mounting on a drive shaft of a hand-held power tool, comprising:
- a tool centering element having a circular cross section that centers the tool relative to the drive shaft of the hand-held power tool, wherein the drive shaft is drivable in oscillating fashion;
- a fastening portion with tool form-locking elements arranged radially outside an axially centered through-hole, the fastening portion for axial mounting and fastening the tool onto a bearing flange integral with the drive shaft in order to define a rotary position of the tool relative to the drive shaft;
- wherein the toll axially centered through-hole and tool form-locking elements are disposed in a first tool part that is arranged in parallel to a second tool part that is connected to said first tool part via an inclined section and the form-locking elements;
- wherein said tool form-locking elements are distributed uniformly over an angular range that is defined by the entire circumference of a circular face of the fastening portion and, are defined by a quadrangular cross section that corresponds to a trapezoidal cross section of flange form-locking elements disposed on the bearing flange, which trapezoidal cross section is perpendicular to an axis of the drive shaft;
- wherein the tool centering element is configured as a fastening screw that has a circular cross section substantially equivalent to a circular cross section of the tool axially centered through-hole and a circular cross section of a drive shaft centering element comprising a machined, axially centered bore;
- and
- wherein the tool centering element is passed through the tool axially-centered through-hole and secured in the machined, axially centered bore of the drive shaft centering element prior to operating the hand-held power tool.
