Abstract
The invention provides methods and compositions for the repair or regeneration of osteochondral tissue. The methods and compositions provide an effective amount of isolated differentiable human Very Small Embryonic Like Stem Cells (hVSELs) sufficient for regeneration or repair of an osteochondral tissue. The compositions can be administered directly to the tissue or administered systemically.
Claims37
A method for treating damage or injury to osteochondral tissue in a subject, comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of a composition comprising very small embryonic like stem cells (VSELs), wherein the VSELs differentiate to treat the osteochondral tissue.
An stem cell composition comprising an effective amount of VSELs sufficient for regeneration or repair of an osteochondral tissue.
