Abstract
Disclosed are a method and apparatus for performing a random access process in a wireless communication system. A terminal transmits a random access preamble in a first serving cell, and monitors a control channel for receiving a random access response for said random access preamble in a second serving cell. Proposed is a method is in which random access is performed when a plurality of serving cells are set up.
Claims15
A method for performing a random access procedure in a wireless communication system, a method comprising:
- transmitting a random access preamble for a first serving cell;
- monitoring a control channel for receiving a random access response with respect to the random access preamble via a second serving cell;
- and
- receiving the random access response with respect to the random access preamble from the second serving cell.
An apparatus for performing a random access procedure in a wireless communication system, the apparatus comprising:
- an RF (Radio Frequency) unit transmitting and receiving radio signals;
- and
- a processor connected to the RF unit and configured to instruct the RF unit to
- transmit a random access preamble for a first serving cell;
- monitor a control channel for receiving a random access response with respect to the random access preamble via a second serving cell;
- and
- receive the random access response with respect to the random access preamble from the second serving cell.
