Abstract
Systems, methods, and devices for wireless communications are disclosed. In one aspect, an apparatus for wireless communications includes a transceiver configured to wirelessly transmit and receive packets. The apparatus further includes a wake up circuit configured to wirelessly receive packets. The apparatus is further configured to detect reception of a wake up signal via the receiver and execute a command based on the wake up signal. In another aspect, an apparatus is disclosed, which generates and transmits wake up signals.
Claims116
An apparatus for wireless communications, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a receiver configured to wirelessly receive a wake up signal from a wireless communication device, wherein the wake up signal is encoded with a first encoding scheme, wherein the wake up signal comprises a first portion indicating instructions to activate the receiver to receive a signal encoded with a second encoding scheme, and wherein the wake up signal comprises a second portion indicating instructions to execute a command,
- wherein the processor is configured to cause the apparatus to execute the command in response to receiving the wake up signal.
A method of wireless communication, comprising:
- wirelessly receiving a wake up signal from a wireless communication device, wherein the wake up signal is encoded with a first encoding scheme, wherein the wake up signal comprises a first portion indicating instructions to activate the receiver to receive a signal encoded with a second encoding scheme, and wherein the wake up signal comprises a second portion indicating instructions to execute a command;
- and
- executing the command.
An apparatus for wireless communications, comprising:
- means for wirelessly receiving a wake up signal from a wireless communication device, wherein the wake up signal is encoded with a first encoding scheme, wherein the wake up signal comprises a first portion indicating instructions to activate the receiver to receive a signal encoded with a second encoding scheme, and wherein the wake up signal comprises a second portion indicating instructions to execute a command;
- and
- means for executing the command.
An apparatus for wireless communications, comprising:
- a processor, configured to generate a wake up signal, wherein the wake up signal is encoded with a first encoding scheme, wherein the wake up signal comprises a first portion indicating instructions to activate a receiver of a wireless communication device to receive a signal encoded with a second encoding scheme, and wherein the wake up signal comprises a second portion indicating instructions to execute a command;
- and
- a transmitter configured to wirelessly transmit the wake up signal to the wireless communication device.
A method of wireless communication, comprising:
- generating a wake up signal, wherein the wake up signal is encoded with a first encoding scheme, wherein the wake up signal comprises a first portion indicating instructions to activate a receiver of a wireless communication device to receive a signal encoded with a second encoding scheme, and wherein the wake up signal comprises a second portion indicating instructions to execute a command;
- and
- wirelessly transmitting the wake up signal to the wireless communication device.
An apparatus for wireless communications, comprising:
- means for generating a wake up signal, wherein the wake up signal is encoded with a first encoding scheme, wherein the wake up signal comprises a first portion indicating instructions to activate a receiver of a wireless communication device to receive a signal encoded with a second encoding scheme, and wherein the wake up signal comprises a second portion indicating instructions to execute a command;
- and
- means for wirelessly transmitting the wake up signal to the wireless communication device.
