Method and system for establishing a connection outside a mesh by including network connectivity information in router configuration messages

A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium having stored thereon, a computer program having at least one code section being executable by a machine for causing the machine to perform:

• establishing a mesh network between or among wireless peer mobile communication devices when the wireless peer mobile communication devices are in proximity of each other;
• sharing routing scheduling data between or among the wireless peer mobile communication devices in the mesh network, wherein the shared routing scheduling data advertises a capability of communicating with an external network outside of the mesh network when a first wireless peer mobile communication device is communicatively coupled to an external network;
• and
• forwarding data received from a second wireless peer mobile communication device to a node in the external network by the first wireless peer mobile communication device.

A system for routing data in wireless devices, the system comprising:

• one or more processors that enable establishing a mesh network between or among wireless peer mobile communication devices when the wireless peer mobile communication devices are in proximity of each other;
• the one or more processors enable sharing routing scheduling data between or among the wireless peer mobile communication devices in the mesh network, wherein the shared routing scheduling data advertises a capability of communicating with an external network outside of the mesh network when a first wireless peer mobile communication device is communicatively coupled to an external network;
• and
• the one or more processor enable forwarding data received from a second wireless peer mobile communication device to a node in the external network by the first wireless peer mobile communication device.
