Abstract
A lighted visor and method of retrofitting a protective suit with a lighted visor are disclosed. The lighted visor includes a shield and at least one light source that is conformable to the shape of the shield or visor on which is it disposed.
Claims20
A lighted visor, comprising:
- a shield having an external surface and an internal surface opposite the external surface, wherein the internal surface is configured to face a wearer;
- and
- at least one light source disposed on the internal surface of the shield, wherein the light source is conformable to the shape of the shield.
A method for retrofitting a protective suit, comprising:
- attaching at least one light source on a shield;
- disposing a light barrier to at least one of the shield or the light source;
- and
- attaching the shield having the light source and light barrier to a protective suit, wherein the light barrier obstructs substantially, at least one of the light from the at least one light source or the reflected light from the at least one light source.
