A computer-implemented platform providing networked access to a plurality of types of digital content, including:

• a non-transitory computer readable storage medium having encoded thereon computer executable instructions for accessing content at least partially indicative of real time sports-related data at least partially utilizing short distance wireless communication within a communications network;
• and
• at least one memory device accessibly coupled to at least one tracking system associated with an athlete capable of tracking at least one movement of the athlete during game play and the communications network.
