Abstract
A method for generating a time-out signal for an unexploded munition. The method including: providing the munition with a power supply having a piezoelectric material for generating power from a vibration upon impact of the munition; and initiating detonation time-out circuitry to disable detonation of the munition after a predetermined time.

A method for generating a time-out signal for an unexploded munition, the method comprising:
- providing the munition with a power supply having a piezoelectric material for generating power from a vibration upon impact of the munition;
- subsequent to the providing, powering detonation time-out circuitry with the generated power;
- and
- initiating the detonation time-out circuitry to disable detonation of the munition after a predetermined time after the impact.
