1-22. (canceled)
A running base including a surface, wherein the surface includes a plurality of peaks and a plurality of troughs, and wherein a distance between a height of any of the peaks of the plurality of peaks and a depth of any of the troughs of the plurality of troughs is less than one micron.
A running base including a rilled surface, wherein the rilled surface includes a plurality of grooves extending into a body of the running base and a plurality of flat areas separating the grooves,
- wherein the plurality of flat areas separating the grooves include a plurality of peaks and a plurality of troughs, and
- wherein a distance between a height of any of the peaks of the plurality of peaks and a depth of any of the troughs of the plurality of troughs is less than one micron.
A running base including a surface, wherein the surface includes a rilled portion, wherein the rilled portion of the surface includes a plurality of grooves extending into a body of the running base and a plurality of flat areas separating the grooves,
- wherein the plurality of flat areas separating the grooves include a plurality of peaks and a plurality of troughs, and
- wherein a distance between a height of any of the peaks of the plurality of peaks and a depth of any of the troughs of the plurality of troughs is less than one micron.
