Abstract
On a machine for processing sheets it is provided, in particular in a region of an extension arm, to completely close a rear opening on the end side by at least one upper and one lower cover. Lateral openings are also closable by movable guards, which at least partially are formed from a transparent material.

A device for screening an extension arm of a machine for processing sheets, the extension arm having an end side with a rear opening formed therein, the device comprising:
- guards including at least one upper guard and one lower guard for a complete closing of the rear opening on the end side.
A punch for processing sheets, the punch comprising:
- an extension arm having an end side with a rear opening formed therein;
- and
- a device for screening said extension arm, said device containing guards including at least one upper guard and one lower guard for a complete closing of said rear opening on said end side.
A sheet-fed rotary printing machine for processing sheets, comprising:
- an extension arm having an end side with a rear opening formed therein;
- and
- a device for screening said extension arm, said device containing guards including at least one upper guard and one lower guard for a complete closing of said rear opening on said end side.
