Abstract
The invention provides seed and plants of spinach hybrid SV3580VC and the parent lines thereof. The invention thus relates to the plants, seeds and tissue cultures of spinach hybrid SV3580VC and the parent lines thereof, and to methods for producing a spinach plant produced by crossing such plants with themselves or with another spinach plant, such as a plant of another genotype. The invention further relates to seeds and plants produced by such crossing. The invention further relates to parts of such plants, including the leaf and gametes of such plants.

A seed of spinach hybrid SV3580VC, a sample of seed of said hybrid having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-13241.
A tissue culture of regenerable cells of spinach hybrid SV3580VC, a sample of seed of said hybrid having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-13241.
A method for producing a seed of a hybrid SV3580VC-derived spinach plant comprising the steps of:
- (a) crossing a spinach plant of hybrid SV3580VC, a sample of seed of said hybrid having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-13241, with a second spinach plant;
- and
- (b) allowing seed of a SV3580VC-derived spinach plant to form.
A method of vegetatively propagating a plant of spinach hybrid SV3580VC comprising the steps of:
- (a) collecting tissue capable of being propagated from a plant of spinach hybrid SV3580VC, a sample of seed of said hybrid having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-13241;
- (b) cultivating said tissue to obtain proliferated shoots;
- and
- (c) rooting said proliferated shoots to obtain rooted plantlets.
A method of producing a plant of spinach hybrid variety SV3580VC comprising an added desired trait, the method comprising introducing a transgene conferring the desired trait into spinach hybrid SV3580VC, whereby a plant of spinach hybrid SV3580VC comprising an added desired trait is produced, a sample of seed of said variety having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-13241.
A plant of spinach hybrid variety SV3580VC comprising a transgene conferring a desired trait, a sample of seed of said variety has been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-13241.
A hybrid spinach plant that exhibits all of the traits of spinach hybrid SV3580VC, a sample of seed of said hybrid having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-13241.
