Abstract
The invention relates to the method for producing the fungus Paecilomyces spp., and to the uses, methods and nematicide compositions for the prevention and/or control and/or eradication of nematodes that form cysts developing in solanaceae cultures. Said invention includes a system for the application of the fungus combined with the rotation of cultures for effectively and efficiently reducing the viability of the cysts of nematodes in solanaceae cultures.
Claims16
A method of controlling, preventing or eradicating nematodes in a culture parasited by a cyst-forming nematode, comprising applying a Paecilomyces carneus fungus to the culture.
A biologically pure culture of Paecilomyces carneus strain IE-431, deposited with the collection of the Institute of Biology A.C. in Veracruz, under No. IEWDCM782, before the FCC.
A process for obtaining Paecilomyces carneus strain IE-431, comprising culturing Paecilomyces carneus strain IE-431 with uninterrupted oxygenation in a percentage of from 40% and 90% of oxygen content.
A process for obtaining Paecilomyces carneus strain IE-431 comprising culturing Paecilomyces carneus strain IE-431 in a culture containing oats, carrot, yeast and/or a combination thereof.
A nematicide composition comprising a living cell suspension of a Paecilomyces carneus fungus at a concentration range of from 200,000 cells to 20,000,000,000 cells singly or combined with at least one carrier.
