- providing a virtual trusted platform module for a virtual machine;

- containing the virtual trusted platform module within a secure enclave of a physical platform.

- provide a virtual trusted platform module for a virtual machine;

- a memory,
- wherein the microprocessor is adapted to:
- create a secure enclave in the memory;
- and
- protect a virtual trusted platform module for a virtual machine using the secure enclave.
