Electronic device and encryption and decryption method thereof

An encryption method, comprising:

• selecting a file for encrypting;
• generating signals associated with the handwritten signature;
• detecting coordinates of each touch point of the handwritten signature on a touch sensing input unit according to the generated signals;
• extracting signature features of the handwritten signature of the user according to the detected coordinates;
• storing the extracted signature features of the handwritten signature of the user as a password;
• and
• encrypting the selected file using the password.

An decryption method, comprising:

• selecting a file for decrypting;
• sensing a touch input of a handwritten signature on a touch sensing unit by a user and generating signals associated with the handwritten signature input by the user;
• detecting coordinates of each touch point of the handwritten signature of the user on the touch sensing unit according to the generated signals;
• extracting signature features of the handwritten signature of the user according to the detected coordinates and a predetermined extraction manner, the extracted signature features of the handwritten signature of the user being utilized as a password for decrypting the selected file;
• and
• decrypting the selected file if the password for decrypting the selected file input by the user matches a pre-stored password.
