Abstract
A method for enabling a user to submit proposed photos of the user, remotely, and in confidence, to a peer user to have the peer user review and rank each of the photos in order of preference, and to receive the results of the review and ranking made by the peer user. The peer user feedback may be then considered in assisting the user in determining which photos the user should upload to a given social media website to portray the user.

A method, through an internet based application, for filtering a set of photographs of a social media website user, by means of a privately based remote peer review, with the intended use of such filtered photographs to favorably portray the user (when such filtered photographs are later viewed to sets of photographs of other website users) on a social media website (such as a dating, friend networking, or professional website), comprising:
- receiving user information (identifier, login name, age, sex, sexual preference, education level, occupation, location, number of children, etc.) from the user,
- receiving a set of photographs from the user, of the user,
- enabling a peer user to view and preferentially rank the set of photographs of the user from most preferential to least preferential, and
- providing the user, with a ranking by the peer user, of the photographs of the user.
