Abstract
Disclosed are methods and systems for implementing extensibility in sales prediction engines. An extensibility framework may be used to modify the metadata schema of the data used by the sales prediction engine to account for extended attributes and entities. The sales prediction engine is also modified to recognize the extended attributes and entities so that a user will be able to create new rules and train new models based on the extended attributes and entities.
Claims30
A method for extending attributes and entities for a sales predictor engine, comprising:
- defining one or more extended attributes or entities;
- modifying a metadata schema of the sales predictor engine using the extended entities or attributes;
- and
- recognizing the extended attributes or entities in the sales prediction engine to perform sales predictions.
A system for extending attributes and entities for a sales predictor engine, comprising:
- a communications interface configured to receive one or more extended attributes or entities;
- a storage system for storing data used by the sales predictor engine, wherein the storage system contains metadata specifying entities and attributes in the data;
- and
- an extensibility framework comprising a metadata editor configured to be able to modify metadata to reflect the extended entities or attributes.
A computer program product including a non-transitory computer readable medium having instructions which, when executed by a processor, causes the processor to perform a process for extending attributes and entities for a sales predictor engine, the process comprising:
- defining one or more extended attributes or entities;
- modifying a metadata schema of the sales predictor engine using the extended entities or attributes;
- and
- recognizing the extended attributes or entities in the sales prediction engine to perform sales predictions.
