Control panel for live updating of product codes directly from affiliate site

A computer readable medium including a computer program product that causes a computer to update live product codes on an affiliate website, the computer program product including instructions to:

• launch a live control panel directly from the affiliate website in response to a selection of a control panel wizard on the affiliate website screen;
• retrieve a stored keyword list that was used to create the currently presented product codes on the affiliate website;
• search at least one Vendor Website for products offered for sale relating to the stored keyword list;
• acquire a large number of new product codes, each including graphic data and descriptive text for products obtained in the search of the Vendor Website along with a link to an associated vendor to facilitate the purchase of a product or service when linking therefrom;
• insert a tracking id into the product codes;
• display the product codes along with manually activatable editing buttons which allow a user to individually select product codes;
• and
• update multiple currently presented product codes with new product codes selected from among the displayed product codes while the control panel is still active.

A device for live updating of product codes on an affiliate website, comprising:

• means for launching a live control panel directly from the affiliate website in response to a selection of a control panel wizard on the affiliate website screen;
• means for retrieving a stored keyword list that was used to create the currently presented product codes on the affiliate website;
• means for searching at least one Vendor Website for products offered for sale relating to the stored keyword list;
• means for acquiring a large number of new product codes, each including graphic data and descriptive text for products obtained in the search of the Vendor Website along with a link to an associated vendor to facilitate the purchase of a product or service when linking therefrom;
• means for automatically inserting a tracking id into the product codes;
• means for displaying the product codes along with manually activatable editing buttons which allow a user to individually select product codes;
• and
• means for updating multiple currently presented product codes with new product codes selected from among the displayed product codes while the control panel is still active.
