A combined multi-lumen central access catheter and an embolic filter, further comprising an imaging modality to facilitate intravascular imaging of the filter.

A multi-lumen filter catheter, comprising:
- a. a multi-lumen catheter body having a plurality of lumens;
- b. a filter member coupled to the catheter body;
- and
- c. an imaging system operable to detect a condition of the filter member.
