Abstract
An apparatus for reversely deactivating a port seal in a laparoscopic port and providing a continuous passage between the laparoscopic port and a remote location in a body cavity.
Claims25
A guiding cannula, comprising:
- an elongated tubular member having an outer diameter adapted to fit in a lumen of a laparoscopic port having a port seal, said elongated tubular member is introducible through said laparoscopic port while reversely deactivating said port seal;
- said elongated tubular member encloses at least one lumen axially extending from a distal opening to a proximal opening, at least one of said lumen is adapted to receive a needle portion or a laparoscopic device from said distal opening and/or said proximal opening;
- and
- wherein said elongated tubular member is telescopically extendible to any position of a distal end of said needle portion, whereby a passage is obtainable between said distal end of said needle portion and said laparoscopic port.

A needle fortifier apparatus comprising:
- a plurality of telescopically connected tubular members, wherein said plurality of telescopically connected tubular members are axially slidable arranged, and said plurality of telescopically connected tubular members is enclosing a lumen adapted to at least partly accommodate a needle portion of a needle unit;
- a proximal connector adapted to connect to an actuator portion of said needle unit;
- and
- a distal end having a brim-like surface adapted to abut to a skin surface.

A laparoscopy system for deploying a detachable laparoscopic end-effector to a distal end of a slender shaft manipulator, the system comprising:
- a cannula adapted to provide a sealable passage between a body cavity and an outer body environment;
- and
- capturing means provided through said cannula and adapted to travel in and out said cannula, capture said distal end and pull thereof outside said body cavity to said outer body environment through said cannula,
- whereby a detachable laparoscopic end-effector may be deployed to said distal end under direct vision.
