Abstract
The invention provides novel compounds having the general formula (I) wherein R1, R2 and n are as described herein, compositions including the compounds and methods of using the compounds. The compounds are useful as inhibitors of hormone sensitive lipase (HSL) for the treatment of diabetes, metabolic syndrome and obesity.

A compound according to formula (I)
- wherein:
- R1 is selected from the group consisting of:
- imidazolyl, pyrazolyl, triazolyl, phenyl, pyridinyl, pyrazinyl, pyrimidyl, pyridazinyl and 2-oxo-1,2-dihydro-pyridinyl,
- and is optionally substituted with one to three substituents independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkylcycloalkyl, cycloalkylalkyl, cycloalkylalkoxy, cycloalkylalkoxyalkyl, cycloalkoxy, cycloalkoxyalkyl, alkylcycloalkylalkyl, halocycloalkyl, halocycloalkylalkyl, halogen, haloalkyl, hydroxy, hydroxyalkyl, alkoxy, alkoxyalkyl, haloalkoxy, hydroxyalkoxy, alkoxyalkoxy, alkoxyalkoxyalkyl and hydroxyhaloalkyl;
- R2 is pyridinyl or 2-oxo-1,2-dihydro-pyridinyl,
- and is optionally substituted with one to three substituents independently selected from alkyl and hydroxy;
- and
- n is zero;
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
