An ionic liquid for air batteries, comprising a cation and a counter anion thereof,
- wherein the cation has a structure represented by the following general formulae (1), (2) or (3):
- wherein R1 to R4 are independent of each other, and R1 to R4 are each selected from the group consisting of:
- an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms;
- an aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 10 carbon atoms;
- an amino group represented by —NRaRb in which Ra and Rb are groups independent of each other and Ra and Rb are each a hydrogen, an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms or an aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 10 carbon atoms;
- an alkoxy group represented by —ORc in which Rc is an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms;
- and an aryloxy group represented by —ORd in which Rd is an aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 10 carbon atoms;
- wherein R5 to R7 are independent of each other, and R5 to R7 are each selected from the group consisting of:
- an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms;
- an aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 10 carbon atoms;
- an amino group represented by —NRaRb in which Ra and Rb are groups independent of each other and Ra and Rb are each a hydrogen, an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms or an aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 10 carbon atoms;
- an alkoxy group represented by —ORc in which Rc is an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms;
- and an aryloxy group represented by —ORd in which Rd is an aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 10 carbon atoms;
- and
- wherein R8 to R10 are independent of each other, and R8 to R10 are each selected from the group consisting of:
- an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms;
- an aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 10 carbon atoms;
- an amino group represented by —NRaRb in which Ra and Rb are groups independent of each other and Ra and Rb are each a hydrogen, an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms or an aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 10 carbon atoms;
- an alkoxy group represented by —ORc in which Rc is an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms;
- and an aryloxy group represented by —ORd in which Rd is an aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 10 carbon atoms.
