Abstract
The present invention provides a compound having a muscle cell or adipocyte differentiation regulating action, useful for the prophylaxis or treatment of diseases such as diabetes, obesity, dyslipidemia and the like, and the like, and having superior efficacy. The present invention provides a compound represented by the formula: wherein each symbol is as defined in the description, or a salt thereof.

A compound represented by the formula (I):

- A is an optionally substituted benzene ring,
- X is CH or N,
- Y is a bond, —O— or —S—,
- L1 is a C1-6 alkylene group, a C2-6 alkenylene group or a C2-6 alkynylene group,
- L2 is a C1-6 alkylene group, a C2-6 alkenylene group or a C2-6 alkynylene group,
- R1 is a hydrogen atom or a C1-6 alkyl group,
- R2 is (1) a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic group optionally substituted by 1 to 3 substituents selected from a halogen atom, a C1-6 alkyl group and a C1-6 alkoxy group, (2) a fused heterocyclic group of a benzene ring and a 5- or 6-membered heterocycle, wherein the fused heterocyclic group is optionally substituted by 1 to 3 substituents selected from a halogen atom, a C1-6 alkyl group and a C1-6 alkoxy group, (3) —PO(OR3)2 or (4) —S(O)mR4,
- R3 is a C1-6 alkyl group,
- R4 is a C1-6 alkyl group, and
- m is 0, 1 or 2,
- or a salt thereof.
