Method and device of transmitting control information in a wireless communication system

A communication device configured to transmit a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) signal in a wireless communication system, the communication device comprising:

• a Radio Frequency (RF) unit;
• and
• a processor,
• wherein the processor is configured for block-spreading first modulation symbols using an orthogonal sequence of length 5 (NSFPUCCH=5) corresponding to a sequence index noc to obtain first modulation symbol sequences, block-spreading second modulation symbols using an orthogonal sequence of length 4 (NSFPUCCH=4) corresponding to the sequence index noc to obtain second modulation symbol sequences, performing cyclic shifting and Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) precoding on the first and second modulation symbol sequences to obtain complex-valued symbols, and mapping the complex-valued symbols to physical resources for PUCCH transmission,
• wherein the orthogonal sequences of length 5 and length 4 are given by using the following relation:
