Abstract
Systems and methods of providing a mobile phone cover are described. In some embodiments, the mobile phone cover may include, for example, a processor and lighting devices. The lighting devices may be operatively coupled to the processor. The processor may be configured, for example, to receive first signals based on second signals in which the second signals are generated by the mobile phone. The second signals may be indicative of an incoming call, an incoming message, a pending message, and/or a calendar alert (e.g., an upcoming appointment), for example. The processor may be configured to cause lighting of one or more of the lighting devices based on the first signals.
Claims27
A mobile phone cover for use with a mobile phone, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- lighting devices operatively coupled to the processor,
- wherein the processor is configured to receive first signals based on second signals, the second signals being generated by the mobile phone, the second signals indicating one or more of the following:
- an incoming call, an incoming message, a pending message, and an upcoming appointment, and
- wherein, based on the first signals, the processor is configured to cause lighting of the one or more lighting devices.
A method for providing a mobile wireless communications device cover for use with a mobile wireless communications device, comprising:
- receiving, by a processor of the mobile wireless communications device cover, first signals based on second signals, the second signals being generated by the mobile wireless communications device, the second signals indicating one or more of the following:
- an incoming call, an incoming message, a pending message, and a calendar alert;
- and
- causing lighting of lighting devices of the mobile wireless communications device cover in a particular sequence and a particular pattern based on the first signals, wherein the particular sequence and the particular pattern differ depending on an identity of a caller or a message sender or depending on a type of the calendar alert.
One or more circuits for use in an active mobile device cellular communications cover for use with a mobile cellular communications device, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- light emitting diodes operatively coupled to the processor,
- wherein the processor is configured to receive first signals based on an audio output, the audio output being generated by the mobile cellular communications device, the audio signals indicating one or more of the following:
- an incoming call, an incoming message, a pending message, and a calendar alert, and
- wherein, based on the first signals, the processor is configured to cause one or more of the light emitting diodes to light in a pattern and a sequence that is indicative of an identity of a caller or a message sender or is indicative of a type of the calendar alert.
