Canceration information providing method and canceration information providing device

A canceration information providing device for providing information relating to canceration of cells, the canceration information providing device comprising a controller configured for performing operations comprising:

• acquiring measurement data including first data related to size of a cell nucleus, second data related to size of a cell, and third data related to amount of DNA of the cell for each cell to be analyzed contained in a measurement specimen, which includes the cell collected from epidermal tissue;
• acquiring a first number of cells in which a ratio of the size of the cell nucleus with respect to the size of the cell is smaller than a predetermined threshold value and having an amount of DNA of a normal cell in which a cell cycle is in a G0 period or a G1 period out of the cells to be analyzed based on the first data, the second data, and the third data;
• acquiring a second number of cells having an amount of DNA exceeding the amount of DNA of the normal cell in which the cell cycle is in G0 period or G1 period out of the cells to be analyzed based on the third data;
• calculating a ratio of the acquired first number of cells and the second number of cells;
• and
• outputting information relating to the canceration of the cells based on the obtained ratio.

A non-transitory storage medium which stores programs executable by at least one processor, the programs causing the at least one processor to perform a method for providing information related to cancer cells, the method comprising:

• acquiring measurement data including first data related to size of a cell nucleus, second data related to size of a cell, and third data related to amount of DNA of the cell for each cell to be analyzed contained in a measurement specimen, which includes the cells collected from epidermal tissue;
• acquiring a first number of cells in which a ratio of the size of the cell nucleus with respect to the size of the cell is smaller than a predetermined threshold value and having an amount of DNA of a normal cell in which a cell cycle is in a G0 period or a G1 period out of the cells to be analyzed based on the first data, the second data, and the third data;
• acquiring a second number of cells having an amount of DNA exceeding the amount of DNA of the normal cell in which the cell cycle is in G0 period or G1 period out of the cells to be analyzed based on the third data;
• calculating a ratio of the acquired first number of cells and the second number of cells;
• and
• outputting information relating to the canceration of the cells based on the obtained ratio.
